Hands-on demos and insightful conversations highlighted the Envision’s potential at ISEVxTech 2024

Hyperion Analytical’s participation in the ISEVxTech 2024 EV Technology & Methods Summit was a resounding success, bringing together innovative vendors and researchers eager to explore the advancements in modern technology platforms along the pipeline of EV production, isolation, characterization, and functional analysis. As one of the most critical techniques in the field, Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) was of great interest to many attendees. We had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about the Envision NTA Particle Analyzer, its cutting-edge technology, and its contributions to advancing NTA instrumentation.

Real-Time Analysis of Polydisperse Samples under Scatter and Fluorescence

One of the event highlights was our participation in the Hands-On Tech Demo sessions, where we demonstrated the Envision’s capabilities live. Using a polydisperse sample containing particles ranging from 40 nm to 120 nm, we showcased the instrument’s ability to perform measurements under both scatter and fluorescence. The 40 nm particles in the sample were fluorescently labeled, allowing for precise tracking against the backdrop of larger polystyrene latex particles.

As shown in the graphs above, the Envision excelled in detecting the 40 nm fluorescent particles with remarkable clarity, even in the presence of larger, brighter particles in the mixture. This level of sensitivity highlights the Envision’s superior optical system, which enables accurate fluorescence-based measurements. Notably, competitor instruments often struggle to measure 40 nm particles in scatter mode alone, let alone in a complex mixture like this.
